meet jeen-Marie and John

Wild Hare Adventures is a long-time dream fulfillment run by Jeen-Marie and John. It started when Jeen saw the special bond that was built between Jack, a golden retriever mix, and her dad during his journey with dementia.

Jeen set out to learn more about the role animals play in comforting, calming and improving the lives of people who are facing challenging life journeys.

Through her research, she discovered that alpacas were lesser-known therapy animals because of their curious and cautious demeanor leading to the birth of her dream of connecting with people through animals.

After visits to alpaca farms, reading everything available about alpacas, and attending conferences and classes on alpaca care, Jeen and her family traded in the DC city life for farm life.

Now with a herd of alpacas, a brood of chickens, several Guinea fowl, and Pumbaa the pig, Jeen-Marie and John welcome you to visit the farm, stay overnight in the cottage, craft in the art workshop, and experience the rejuvenation that comes through respite at Wild Hare Adventures in Loudon County, VA.
